Last night it was an incredible result for the Waverley Falcons Youth League team to win the division 1 Big V championship in 2 straight games through the best of 3 series vs Sunbury.

Our external coach Elias Palioyiannis was the head coach of the successful champs and both current and ex Hallam Basketball Academy student athletes rounded out the team.

Captain Cody Fredrickson was joined by ex students; Dylan Larkin, Ben Donaldson and ex captain Nathan Malloy in hoisting the trophy.

Nathan had a massive game putting up 23 points. Cody was quiet score wise only putting up 4 points with 2 mins to go however hit a couple of back to back massive shots to put the trailing Falcons back into the game and ended up with 19 points in a massive overtime effort. Dylan Larkin was instrumental in his free throw to save he game and send it to overtime.

We at the HBA are so proud of Elias, Cody, Ben, Dylan and Nathan for representing the school and their club so well on such a big stage.
