The HBA boys showed a lot of heart this afternoon with a win against a solid team in St Francis Xavier College.

The opposition was overall a much larger group of guys and looked to muscle their way to the basket. With their number 11 scoring 35 points in their game this morning, Hallam had a task to shut him down and all of the boys did their bit in this.

Special mention to Cody Fredrickson, who as captain took over the game when it was tight at the end and also to Dylan Jenkinson who quietly stepped into the rebounding role when Josh Norton was in foul trouble.

Hallam came out winners 66 – 58 and ensured their moving off the bottom of the ever changing ladder to keep pushing towards the goal of a quarter final on Thursday.

Next game is at State Basketball Centre tomorrow at 1:00pm vs a familiar team from last years nationals in Mountain Creek where Tyrone Tonkin won the game with an incredible buzzer beater.
